Curious about Old Hatch Coffee Roastery's origins? Jeff and Patty, along with their children, experienced many mission trips to countries like Haiti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Venezuela, Brazil, and China. These trips involved poor-quality coffee, which motivated their coffee journey. ☕

After 15 years of exploring independent specialty coffee houses globally, Jeff and Patty sought high-quality roasters. Jeff aimed to roast his own beans for discerning coffee lovers. In 2014, they acquired an existing roastery and relocated it to their warehouse, naming it "Old Hatch Roastery" to honor the facility's history as a chicken hatchery, purchased by Patty’s family in 1939.

Jeff sources top-grade arabica beans from Fair Trade, Organic, and naturally processed co-ops, supporting small businesses abroad. Now offering coffees from 19 countries, he roasts for Hazelnut Coffeehouse and several independent coffee houses and restaurants.
