about us

Hazelnut Coffeehouse owners

Years ago we started dreaming and talking about opening our own coffeehouse. Like pieces of a puzzle, things started fitting together in summer of 2013. After much anticipation Hazelnut Coffeehouse opened for business in November 2014. From the onset we have been committed to not only high-quality coffee drinks and made from scratch pastries, but to also serving as a lighthouse in the community.

This makes Hazelnut not just a coffeehouse, but a destination.

Together, with our incredible team of employees, we’ve enjoyed serving the community over the last 8 years, and look forward to continuing for many more!

Get to know Jeff

With beans sourced from many countries and roasted by Hazel’s own Old Hatch Coffee Roastery, Jeff has the ability to create new blends that complement the flavors of each bean. The selection of drip-brewed coffees served is picked by Jeff and changes daily.

Not sure what to try? Ask Jeff for a recommendation. He’ll be happy to help.

Ever wonder what makes the pastries at Hazelnut so delicious? The answer is simple. They are all made in-house, from scratch, with love. Every week Patty plans out a menu that includes scrumptious scones, muffins, coffee cakes, breads, cookies, bars, quiches, cinnamon rolls and gluten free options. After that, her and the team get busy baking the sweet treats you all enjoy so much. Thank you Patty for satisfying our sweet tooth day after day, week after week, month after month for over 8 years.

The Hazels are go-getters for Christ and have never viewed Hazelnut as a business, but rather, a ministry. They have been married for over 40 years, and are the proud parents of four children and nine grandchildren. Jeff, who is also the Mayor of Celina, truly cares about his town and does everything in his power to create a Godly community.

Hazelnut Principles

God.
Family.
Community.
Coffee.

Together, these four principles guide our daily lives both in and outside of Hazelnut Coffeehouse. It’s uncommon to live in a way that allows one to share and stand by their beliefs firmly. We’ve been fortunate enough to cultivate a destination and an experience that allows us, our staff, and our coffee following to do just that. The four rings in our new logo are a constant reminder of the principles that Hazelnut Coffeehouse was built upon.
